About Kazini Community Care Initiative Uganda (KCCIU)
Kazini
Community Care Initiative Uganda (KCCIU) was founded
by Kyomugisha Juliet Kazini, alongside a group of
fellow children of fallen soldiers, to uphold the
legacy of the brave men and women who fought for the
liberation of our country. KCCIU is among the
pioneering initiatives in Uganda dedicated to
transforming the lives of children of fallen and
retired soldiers, as well as rural youth aged
18–35—both boys and girls.
Established in September 2024 and formally
registered in December 2024, KCCIU operates under
registration number 80034606935119, with an
affiliated SACCO (KCCIU SACCO) registered under
P.26147/RCS, comprising 357 members, the majority of
whom are children of military personnel.
Our core mission is to identify, rehabilitate, and empower these young individuals to become successful commercial farmers and entrepreneurs. We provide them with the practical skills, knowledge, and resources needed to thrive within the agricultural and agribusiness value chain.
KCCIU
KCCIU
focuses on sustainable maize farming, dairy farming,
value addition, and financial inclusion, with a
strong emphasis on youth economic empowerment. Our
programs promote mechanized planting and weeding
techniques, enabling both young men and women in
rural communities to boost agricultural
productivity, add value to their produce, and
improve their incomes and financial independence.
We are currently in the process of:
(i) Registering our Skilling Centre with the
Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT)
(ii) Certifying our maize flour products with the
Uganda
National Bureau of Standards (UNBS)

KCCUI
With a deep commitment
to inclusion and national development, KCCIU stands as a beacon of hope—empowering the next generation to build resilient, self-reliant, and prosperous lives. Through targeted interventions, we not only uplift individual beneficiaries but also strengthen families and entire communities.
By prioritizing innovation, skills development, and access to modern agricultural technologies, we are creating sustainable pathways for young people—especially those from underserved rural backgrounds—to break the cycle of poverty. Our programs foster leadership, entrepreneurship, and a spirit of service, helping youth become agents of change within their communities. -
KCCUI
As we expand our reach,
we continue to forge strategic partnerships with government agencies, private sector actors, and civil society organizations. These collaborations amplify our impact, enabling us to scale up services such as vocational training, access to finance, cooperative development, and agribusiness mentorship.
KCCIU remains steadfast in its vision of a Uganda where every youth—regardless of their background—has the opportunity, support, and resources to thrive. Together, we are building a legacy of empowerment, dignity, and lasting change.
Context
KCCIU is focused on expanding its reach to vulnerable youth in underserved and post-conflict areas, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, accountability, and community-led development. Our upcoming Skilling and Innovation Centre will provide certified training in agribusiness, digital literacy, and agro-processing, equipping youth with practical skills and business support.
By
registering our maize flour products with UNBS,
we aim to open new market opportunities and raise
the quality of youth-led agricultural enterprises.
As we move forward, KCCIU remains dedicated to
empowering rural youth with the tools and
opportunities to shape a brighter, self-reliant
future—for themselves, their families, and the
nation at large.
